Firstly, having myself a indian heritage, I can confidently say, that
is not really how an indian wedding is. What's ironic and confusing at
the same time is that this is supposed to be a muslim wedding, so why
the ALCOHOL? Yusef's character is portrayed as Muslim and he's even
the resident Doctor, yet at times, the way he's carrying on knocking
back Whiskey's it makes you re-think about the concept of the
family/character?
The Wedding itself: What a complete embrarrasment! I was watching this
with my folks as well who are in their early 50's. The dancing was
atrocious and Afia, perleeaze! There is no way, I would marry a girl
like her - especially with that cringeworthy dancing!
I know it's a soap, but - this whole thing with the Asian family is a
pisstake.
