Original Jedi Mark Hamill Talks Up Transmedia Superhero Franchise New-Gen At NY Comic-Disadvantage
Adding somewhat legendary spark to NY Comic-Disadvantage now, Alien vet Mark Hamill has signed on as creative consultant for the superhero comic series New-Gen and may attend the convention to talk up a graphic novel compilation and plans for just about any feature film adaptation in the Marvel Comics-distributed title. Hamill will probably be at Comic-Disadvantage as well as New-Gen designers J.D. Matonti, Chris Matonti and Julia Coppola to produce the six-problem graphic novel, New-Gen: Volume One. Launched in 2008, New-Gen might be the saga of twin brothers and sisters with amazing abiliities attempting to uncover their true roots in the nano-powered advanced world. The graphic novel features an intro by Hamill. The comic’s backers, APNG Companies, have signed Mace Neufeld to produce the film, X-Males: Top Quality’s Kim H. Winther being coproducer, David Tattersall being DP, Jeffrey A. Okun (Your Entire Day Our World Was Still Being) being visual effects supervisor and Christopher Youthful (Spider-Guy 3) being composer. J.D. Matonti remains installed on direct the film, with Coppola creating and Chris Matonti professional producer. The long-term plan's to create the figures and story lines into platforms that will include TV, mobile and game game titles. “New-Gen can be a fresh and effective new story that will surely resonate with audiences across multiple platforms,” Hamill mentioned. “I’m honored to participate the franchise and approaching feature film as creative consultant and goal to evolve this compelling world for fans to relish while using APNG Companies team.”
